Mr. Abdulai Kamara

is an energetic and persistent person who has a mature and responsible approach to any task that he undertakes, or situation that he is presented with. As a visioneer and founder of the Centre for Disaster Risk Management and Sustainable Development (CDRMSD), Abdulai has over 10 years of wide range of experience in management, monitoring, programming, climate justice, disaster risk management, Administration, Resource Mobilization, Food Security, community development, proposal writing, budgeting and respect for diversity. Abdulai is a passionate and result-oriented individual with a strong team building spirit in moving the aims and aspirations of the organization to a higher altitude. Abdulai holds a Master of Art in Sustainable Development at the University of Makeni, 2022 and holds an M.Sc in Conflict Analysis and Conflict Resolution from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone in April 2016. He also did his B.Sc in Peace and Conflict Studies from Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone in December 2010. Professionally, Abdulai has studied at the Geneva Graduate Institute, Switzerland, in September 2022 where he obtained a certificate in Protecting Human Rights and the Environment. In October 2022, he proceeded at the Mindanao Peace building Institute: a certificate in Theory and Practice of Peace Advocacy in the Philippines. Abdulai also studied at the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Accra, Ghana in May 2016 and June 2017 respectively where he did certificate courses in Humanitarian Assistance in West Africa Core Course and a Trainer of Trainers Course for Humanitarian Assistance in West Africa. He is a certified trainer in humanitarian affairs in West Africa. He also did training on Do No Harm in Kenya and was certified a trainer. Abdulai Has served as a national Disaster Risk Reduction Coordinator for 5 (2013-2018) years; he has also managed Food Security and Sustainable Land Governance Project for 5 years and finally served in the health sector for 2 years. Abdulai Kamara is currently serving as the Executive Director of CDRMSD.

Nancy Korooma

Nancy D. Koroma holds the following academic qualifications with huge work experience: BSc in Peace and Conflict Studies Msc. Nancy is currently serving as the Advocacy Project Manager in the Centre for Disaster Risk Management and Sustainable Development. She has raised the advocacy banner of CDRMSD very high engaging different clients ranging from communities, media professionals, multinational companies and government officials on critical topics.

Hassanatu Sheriff

Hassanatu Sheriff is a self-starter and a focused person who can work swiftly and effectively either alone or as part of a team and can organise and prioritise her own workload. She is always enthusiastic to learn, undertake new challenges, and can adapt to all changing situations. 2020– 2021 – Cluster Mentor, Education Innovation Challenge Project. 2021-2022- Facilitator to train teachers on Positive and Respect-Focused Behaviour Management. 2022-2023- Cluster Mentor, Sierra Leone Education Innovation Challenge Project. 2020- Participating in Remote Learning and Radio Lesson Programme. Ruth Brendafore Conteh

Ruth Brendafore Conteh is a final year university student who is providing volunteering services to the organization. She manages the website and provides communication support to our programmes. Overall, the role of Ruth as a website manager is multifaceted and dynamic, requiring a combination of technical expertise, creative skills, project management abilities, and effective communication and collaboration skills to drive the success of the organization's online presence. She is currently studying Computer Science with some skills in website development. Ruth is the current Website Manager and also serves as a volunteer Communications person of the Centre for Disaster Risk Management and Sustainable Development (CDRMSD). Ensuring efficient communication, both internally and externally, is at the heart of her position as Communications Officer and Website Manager. She is responsible for the organisation's website and its up-to-date information accuracy, as well as for managing digital material and composing messages as part of our communication plan. Ruth has extensive experience communicating effectively through a variety of media with the goal of building strong relationships with the public and stakeholder groups. Achievements- Ruth has accomplished a lot in her role as a Website Manager and Communications Officer. Strengthened Online Presence: Completely redesigned the company website to make it more user-friendly, accessible, and SEO-friendly. As a result, both traffic and engagement went up. We have improved brand recognition and stakeholder engagement through the development and implementation of tailored communication strategies for various audiences. Crisis management: Proven ability to communicate successfully in high-pressure situations by handling delicate topics and keeping the public's opinion in check. Cooperation: Encouraged collaboration amongst various divisions and external parties to ensure message uniformity and efficient dissemination of information across all mediums. (Aspirations) Looking ahead, my goals are: Creativity in Content Creation: Always looking for new ways to connect with our audience through interactive multimedia and storytelling strategies, among other innovative ways. Data-Driven Insights: by leveraging analytics and data-driven insights, we optimize our communication strategy and properly measure the effectiveness of our campaigns. Lifelong Learning: Using networking and professional development opportunities to stay current on communication, digital marketing, and website management trends and best practices. The goal of our organisation's community engagement efforts is to fortify our links to the neighbourhood via strategic outreach and open dialogue. In the end, I want to help our organisation achieve its goals by utilising strategies that promote trust, participation, and positive change through effective communication.

Mr. Michael Vandi

Michael Foday Vandi, is a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to making a positive impact in a work environment. Currently, I am pursuing an MBA Executive at Njala University, building upon my educational foundation, which includes a BSc in Logistics and Procurement Management from the University of Management and Technology. In my career journey, I have spent over 6 years as a Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist with Deutche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, German International Cooperation. Within this role, I have been responsible for managing various aspects of monitoring and evaluation projects, including budget oversight, contract management, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement. My dedication to excellence has been evident in my ability to successfully oversee projects and ensure their alignment with organizational goals. Prior to my current position, I have held roles as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer with GIZ GmbH and as a Data Site Manager with FHI 360. At the moment, I am serving in the capacity of MEAL Manager for the Centre for Disaster Risk Management and Sustainable Development (CDRMSD), where I continue to utilize my skills and expertise to contribute to the organization's goals.
